Marissa's Kitchen distributes free school supplies to children

School Supplies Program, which is aimed to assist the children in their school related needs, distributed free school supplies to hundreds of school children in Daanbantayan, Cebu province in the Philippines. This is the second year in the row that MK has done so.
Not only the children became so excited and were so happy during the distribution but the parents as well. They complimented MK's program and stressed its help to them, especially that prices of these commodities have gone up.
Because of the free school supplies, some parents were encouraged and eventually decided to just let their kids go to school instead of sending them to sugarcane plantations and work as laborers. Another factor that also made them decide to send their kids back to school is the provision of free lunch to these school children on regular basis. Free lunch is another program of Marissa's Kitchen.
Countless children in the Philippines go to school with no proper clothing and insufficient learning resources. Many others can not attend school.
